Gel and Cream Manufacturer in Turkey

Turkish Supplements produces gels, creams, balms and roll-ons in Turkey for brands, importers and distributors. We manufacture under your brand as a private label product, or to your own formula on a contract basis.

Topical products sit in a different regulatory category from the capsules and sachets elsewhere on this site, and that changes the project from the first conversation. The section below explains it before anything else, because getting the category wrong costs far more than getting the formula wrong.

Topical products are not food supplements

A capsule is a food supplement. A gel applied to the skin is not — it is regulated either as a cosmetic or as a medicinal product, depending on what the pack claims and on the ingredients.

  • Cosmetic route — the product cleans, perfumes, changes appearance, protects, keeps in good condition or corrects body odour. No therapeutic claim is allowed.
  • Medicinal route — the product claims to treat or prevent a condition, or contains an active at a level that makes it medicinal. This route needs a marketing authorisation and is a different business entirely.

What is not possible is a topical product with a therapeutic claim sold as a food supplement. If your label says “relieves muscle pain”, you are in the medicinal category, whatever the pack looks like. We produce cosmetic-category topicals; for the medicinal route you need a different regulatory pathway and a different manufacturing licence.

Topical formats we produce

  • Gels — aqueous or hydro-alcoholic; clear, cooling and fast-absorbing
  • Creams — oil-in-water for a light feel, water-in-oil for a richer barrier
  • Ointments — hydrocarbon or wax bases for occlusive formulas
  • Balms and sticks — solid formats for targeted application
  • Lotions — lower-viscosity emulsions for larger areas
  • Roll-ons — liquid formulas dispensed through a roller ball

Typical ingredients include plant extracts, menthol, camphor, essential oils, vitamin E, aloe, allantoin, MSM and emollient bases. Ingredient restrictions differ between markets, so the formula is checked against the destination market’s cosmetic rules before the sample stage.

Pack formats

  • Tubes — 30 ml to 100 ml, laminated or plastic, the standard for creams and gels
  • Airless pumps — for formulas that must not be exposed to air
  • Jars — 50 ml to 250 ml, for balms and richer creams
  • Roll-on bottles — 50 ml to 100 ml
  • Stick containers — for solid balms

What decides whether a topical works

Three things, and all three are settled before the filling line:

  1. Emulsion stability. A cream is oil and water held together. If the emulsifier system is wrong, the product separates in the tube after a few weeks — which the customer sees as a defective product, even if the ingredients are correct.
  2. Preservation. Any product containing water supports microbial growth. The preservative system has to be compatible with the formula’s pH and with the tube or pump it sits in.
  3. Viscosity and feel. A gel that is too thin runs off the skin; a cream that is too thick will not come out of an airless pump. The texture is part of the specification, not a cosmetic afterthought.

Heat stability matters too: a cream that is stable at 20 °C in Istanbul may separate in a container in a Gulf summer. If your market is hot, say so at the brief stage — the formula has to be tested for it.

Quality control on topicals

Topical quality is checked on appearance, pH, viscosity, homogeneity, fill weight and microbiological status. Homogeneity matters more than it sounds: an unevenly mixed cream delivers a different dose of active at the top of the tube than at the bottom.

Each batch is supplied with a certificate of analysis. Specifications and raw material statements are available on request.

We do not make disease or treatment claims for any product. Cosmetic claims are limited to what the cosmetic route allows, and any claim wording is checked against the destination market before the artwork is printed.

How a topical project runs

  1. Brief — actives, texture, pack format, target market and quantity
  2. Quotation — feasibility, category check, base and MOQ
  3. Samples — samples and label wording in 5 working days
  4. Approval — you approve texture, scent, appearance and artwork
  5. Production — compounding, homogenising, filling, sealing and coding
  6. Delivery — batch with certificate of analysis, ready for export

Frequently asked questions

Can I sell a topical product as a food supplement?

No. A product applied to the skin is regulated as a cosmetic or as a medicinal product, not as a food supplement. The category is decided by the claims on the pack and by the ingredients.

What is the minimum order for gels and creams?

Starting quantities are from 2,000 units per product. The exact minimum depends on the tube or jar, the formula and the carton, and is confirmed in the quotation.

Can you make a warming or cooling gel?

Yes, using menthol and camphor or similar ingredients. The claim wording on the pack has to stay within what the cosmetic route allows.

Will my cream survive shipping to a hot country?

It depends on the formula and the base. Tell us the destination market at the brief stage and the formula is tested for heat stability before production.

What documentation comes with a topical batch?

A certificate of analysis for the batch, with specifications and raw material statements available on request.

Request a topical quotation

Send us the actives, the texture you want, the pack format and the destination market. We will reply with feasibility, category, MOQ and price — and tell you honestly if your intended claim pushes the product into a category we do not manufacture.
