Capsule Manufacturer in Turkey
Turkish Supplements produces hard capsules in Turkey for brands, importers and distributors. We fill hard gelatin and vegetarian HPMC capsules, under your brand as a private label product or to your own formula on a contract basis.
A capsule is the format of choice when the active does not compress. Nothing is pressed and nothing is heated, so temperature-sensitive ingredients survive, and the fill weight is set by the capsule size rather than by a compression force. The trade-off is density: a capsule holds what fits in its volume, and no more.
Capsule types we produce
- Hard gelatin capsules — the standard; lowest cost per unit at volume
- Vegetarian HPMC capsules — plant-derived, for vegan and vegetarian positioning
- Powder-filled capsules — the most common route for vitamin, mineral and botanical blends
- Granule and pellet fills — for blends that flow better as granules, or for modified-release pellets
Liquid-filled hard capsules are confirmed at quotation stage, because the capability depends on the formula and on the sealing method.
Capsule sizes and fill weights
The capsule size is chosen from the volume the formula needs. Approximate fill weights for a typical powder:
- Size 000 — up to about 1,000 mg
- Size 00 — up to about 800 mg
- Size 0 — up to about 550 mg
- Size 1 — up to about 400 mg
- Size 2 — up to about 300 mg
- Size 3 and 4 — smaller fills, typically for high-potency actives
The real fill weight depends on the bulk density of your blend, so the figure is confirmed on a trial fill rather than from a table. A light, fluffy powder fills less by weight than a dense mineral blend in the same capsule.
The dose problem no one warns you about
A capsule cannot hold more than its volume. That sounds obvious, and it is the single most common reason a capsule project fails at the brief stage.
Take a formula that needs 3,000 mg of active per daily dose. In size 0 capsules that is roughly six capsules a day. Six capsules is not a product most customers will buy twice — and no amount of formulation work fixes it, because the limit is physical.
When the dose is large, the honest answer is a tablet, a sachet or a divided dose. We will say so at quotation rather than sell you a capsule project that cannot work.
What decides whether a blend capsules well
- Flow. The powder has to flow evenly into the capsule at speed. A blend that clumps gives uneven fill weights across the batch.
- Bulk density. It sets the fill weight for a given capsule size — and therefore how many capsules the daily dose needs.
- Compatibility. Hygroscopic actives draw moisture through the gelatin shell. For those formulas, HPMC or a different format is the better choice.
Fill weight variation is checked during the run, not only at the end, because an underfilled capsule is a short dose.
Pack formats
- Bottles — HDPE or glass, with a desiccant where the formula needs one
- Blister packs — aluminium/PVC or aluminium/aluminium, the standard for pharmacy and most export markets
- Strips and monodose — where the destination market requires them
Private label capsules
- Your brand, your artwork and your carton
- Formula from our range, or developed with you
- Starting quantities from 2,000 units
- Samples and label wording within 5 working days
Contract manufacturing capsules
- You supply the formula and the specification
- Sampling and refinement rounds before the production run
- Batch numbering and coding during production
- Projects handled under NDA on request
Quality control on capsules
Capsule quality is checked on fill weight variation, appearance, closure integrity and disintegration. A capsule that has not closed properly will open in the bottle during transport, and the customer will see a bottle of loose powder.
Each batch is supplied with a certificate of analysis. Specifications and raw material statements are available on request.
We do not make disease or treatment claims for any product, and we do not write claims into pack copy. Nutrient content statements and any authorised nutrition or health claims follow the rules of the destination market.
How a capsule project runs
- Brief — formula, daily dose, capsule type, pack format and quantity
- Quotation — feasibility, capsule size, fill weight, MOQ and price
- Samples — samples and label wording in 5 working days
- Approval — you approve capsule size, colour, fill weight and artwork
- Production — filling, closing, packing and coding
- Delivery — batch with certificate of analysis, ready for export
Frequently asked questions
What is the minimum order for capsules?
Starting quantities are from 2,000 units per product. The exact minimum depends on the capsule size, the formula and the pack format, and is confirmed in the quotation.
Gelatin or HPMC — which should I choose?
Gelatin is cheaper and is the standard for most markets. HPMC is plant-derived and is chosen when the brand claims vegan or vegetarian status, or when the formula is hygroscopic and would draw moisture through a gelatin shell.
How many capsules will my daily dose need?
It depends on the bulk density of your blend and the capsule size. Send the formula and the daily dose, and we will calculate it on a trial fill — before you order packaging.
Can you fill liquids into capsules?
Liquid-filled hard capsules are confirmed at quotation stage, because the capability depends on the formula and the sealing method.
What documentation comes with a capsule batch?
A certificate of analysis for the batch, with specifications and raw material statements available on request.
Request a capsule quotation
Send us the formula, the daily dose and the quantity you need. We will reply with feasibility, capsule size, fill weight, MOQ and price — and tell you honestly if the dose is too large for a capsule.
